It was wonderful to return to Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business last week to offer guidance with peers (Athena Shea, Lara Banks, Ila B Corcoran) to business and finance students. I fondly recall attending my first all-female panel, featuring Michela O'Connor Abrams (when I worked in media), which left me inspired and believing that the world was full of possibilities (it is!). I hope attendees left with a similar sense of possibility as they take their next steps. Kudos to the organizers for hosting such a fantastic event. 👏

Last week, Women in Investment hosted our second Annual Dinner, based on the theme “Women’s Unique Assets in Investing!” 💵📈 Attendees got the chance to learn about venture capital and finance opportunities from our panelists Athena Shea, Máire P. Walsh, Ila B Corcoran, and Lara Banks. These panelists represented industries ranging from real estate to healthcare, providing us with insights into diverse careers within finance. 💫 One of our favorite points the speakers discussed was the wide range of possibilities within this field. You never know what opportunities might come knocking at your door, so it’s important to keep an open mind and be willing to try new things! Thank you so much to our wonderful speakers. 🌟 Additionally, we want to thank our incredible sponsors EY, Northwestern Mutual, SCU Ciocca Center, Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, Uyen "Minnie" Thai with Flora Haven, SCU OML, and SCU DISC. This event couldn’t have happened without you! Finally, thanks so much to everyone who joined us! We hope you had a fantastic time, and get ready for more exciting events from SCU Women in Investment! 🎉🎊 #AnnualDinner2024 #WomenInInvestment #InvestingInWomen #OpenMinded #WINningTogether #FinanceFutures #EmpoweredInvestors #NextGenLeaders
