Not every holiday is an opportunity to have a sale. While 60% of consumers engage in 4th of July sales and 57% in Father's Day promotions, only 16% participate in Juneteenth sales. This highlights a crucial point: Juneteenth is a day for celebration, education, and reflection on the end of slavery in the U.S. Businesses should use this day to educate, support local organizations, and engage in meaningful community activities. We advise our marketing clients to honor Juneteenth through actions that reflect its historical importance, rather than turning the holiday into a sales event. #Juneteenth #ConsumerInsights #MagidADVANTAGE

Have you heard us over the radio lately? 📻 Local advertising helps you connect with your neighbours, participate in local events, and show that you're more than a faceless operation. 🫥 While establishing a national footprint is a worthy goal for many businesses, local advertising and community connections should never be overlooked. A strong local presence is crucial for building brand reputation and fostering long-lasting relationships with your community. 🤝 💯 As the wise Oprah Winfrey once said, "Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher." Just as climbing a mountain requires occasional glances back at the path you've travelled, achieving national success means acknowledging the community that helped get you there. 🗻 My biggest piece of advice is to never lose sight of your local legends. They're the foundation that will support you through every peak and valley along your journey. 💬 #LocalAdvertising #Community #Connection #PanacheFinance

🎉✉️ Happy #NationalMailOrderCatalogDay! ✉️🎉 Today, we celebrate the innovation of shopping through catalogs, a practice that dates back to the 19th century. This day also brings to mind the lesser-known history of mail-order brides 👰🏾♀️💍 In the early American frontier, a gender imbalance led men to seek brides through advertisements in newspapers and catalogs. This practice expanded internationally, with commercial agencies offering catalogs of potential brides. While the term "mail-order bride" has become outdated, it reflects a complex history influenced by social norms, economic conditions, and technological advancements. Today's international matchmaking often begins online, focusing on genuine connections rather than transactional arrangements. As we celebrate the evolution of mail-order catalogs, we also recognize the multifaceted history of mail-order brides, a practice that has evolved and sparked debate, regulation, and cultural reflection. Happy #NationalMailOrderCatalogDay 🎈📖
