We are pleased to bring to your attention an exceptional opportunity within the European audiovisual landscape – the Series Co-Production Support initiative by Eurimages - Council of Europe. 🌐 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: The Series Co-Production Support is a new pilot program tailored to facilitate the final-stage funding of series co-productions. The initiative offers grants of either 250,000 Euro or 500,000 Euro, designed to enhance collaborative projects. The submission deadline for this year is set for 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯, with additional calls anticipated in 2024 and 2025. These grants are meticulously designed to promote co-productions between independent producers from participating countries and those within the Eurimages member states' geographical zone, fostering synergy closely associated with broadcasters or streaming services. 🏆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: In addition to grant support, the Council of Europe is embarking on a quest to identify four series co-production markets. Self distribution without relying on a traditional distributor gives you more control over your film’s marketing, pricing, and distribution channels, but it also requires more work, effort, and resources. Reach your target audience directly while building a loyal audience.. Retain more creative and financial rights over your film and the revenue streams. Experiment with different platforms and strategies to find what works best for your project. Some challenges of self distribution are: You have to handle all the aspects of distribution: securing rights, booking theaters, creating promotional materials, and managing online presence.
