I wasn’t expecting this! It’s definitely not the message I was expecting to receive… 😳 Here’s the story…📖 We were due to release Episode 5 of The Resilience Project podcast. 🎉 Then today I was asked if we could suspend and withdraw the episode for now… 😨 The star of this episode is involved in a legal case - nothing that they have done wrong - but there’s a concern that the podcast or any other new media could be scrutinised by the opposing legal team, and something could be used to unfairly compromise the case or contradict what they say. 😬 The guest is a fantastic person - very inspiring with a brilliant message, and was apologetic - but understandably they had to make the right decision for their situation. So we’ll connect again later in the year and see if we can re-record it then! 💪🏻 So that was definitely not what I was expecting to happen today, but it does mean it’s thrown scheduling out a little bit and so I’ll not be revealing the next guest and releasing the next episode for another few days! 💜 Any guesses who it is?! I wasn’t going to even post about this, but I’m learning to celebrate every blessing, and this is definitely one. My podcast is almost a year old. I’ve published 45 full episodes and 2 trailers. Every Monday, except for taking a 3 week break in July, I’ve pushed a new episode out, no matter how I was feeling about its progress. As you can see, my download numbers are not huge, but to me they are impactful. Every download is an ear that listens to some, or all, of what God has laid on my heart for that week. Most of my podcasts have not even gotten over 50 listens TOTAL, but this past week’s episode got 50 in JUST SEVEN DAYS! To put that into perspective, general podcast metrics say that if your podcast gets about 30 views in its first 7 days that it is judged successful. Mine usually get between 20-25, but this one episode hit 50!! And I praise God for it. While I don’t know what went right with this episode, as my process is the same for every one, I’m allowing myself to love this moment! I celebrate it. The discipline it has built within me. The consistency of the process. Ignoring how I feel, but pushing past because of the mission I’m called to. So yes…this is celebration worthy! And I’m praying and believing God for more than this. So should you. Let discipline and consistency produce something stronger than steel in your life. Process the setbacks, but don’t temper your expectations. Always believe for more. Believe higher! And while you work like it depends on you, believe like it all depends on God! I felt completely stuck. I was going through a very challenging moment at the beginning of last year. Looking back, it feels like I was still grieving so many changes that had happened in the previous 2 years: a miscarriage the loss of my immediate family in Cuba - my uncle and grandmother the transition from corporate to entrepreneurship the loss of my father-in-law due to COVID IT WAS A LOT! And at times, I struggled to navigate through the waves of uncertainty. Until I decided to go back to the basics - focusing on what I could control. There is a specific concept, "Harmonizing Your 4 Bodies", I share during this week's podcast episode that helped me TREMENDOUSLY during the times I felt stuck and allowed me to regain the confidence and momentum I was looking for.
