Summer break often comes with the challenge of keeping young minds active and engaged. This year, we decided to tackle that challenge head-on! Thanks to incredible support from the United Way of Lebanon County, we were able to make a real difference in our community by providing families with something special: family engagement kits. Each kit included age-appropriate educational materials, information on local programs, and food to help support families after school is out. In total, Luthercare for Kids distributed over 140 engagement kits to families served by our Systems Aligned in Learning (SAIL) Program in Lebanon County. Here's to starting the summer off right with learning, laughter, and endless possibilities!

As Luthercare entered the late 1980s, our previous leaders envisioned how we could continue make a difference in the lives of those we served. With their foresight we made great strides with the expansion of Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community and acquisition of the land that would become St. John's Herr Estate - A Luthercare Community; strengthened our Lutheran bonds with our affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; and made a joyful noise unto the Lord with a restored organ at Spang Crest - A Luthercare Community.
