This picture is from a recent trip to South Korea, and today is my 12 Year Anniversary with HealthFitness! Thank you for your teamwork and leadership over the years (too many to thank; but if you're seeing this, chances are you are one of them). If I were to distill my top three 'words of wisdom' over the years, it would be these: 1. Be the trendsetter: don't wait for proof it can be done. If you have the vision, take a risk. 2. Execution is more valuable than ideas. I'd rather have a mundane idea beautifully executed than a brilliant idea that never happens. 3. Don't try to come up with solutions sitting in a virtual room with your team! Get out, move around, get inspired. Motion creates emotion.

Here is a freebie for all the CEO's out there that wonder how you can show appreciation to your team. Take a page out of Richard Branson 's playbook. I know what you're going to say. "I have so many great employees that I couldn't possibly do a Reel for all of them." No? Ah, then maybe you were going to say, "I don't have that kind of money to spend on only 3 or 4 of my great employees" Nope? You weren't going to say that either? Well for sure you were going to say, "My employees definitely deserve some show of my appreciation". Actually it doesn't matter what you were going to say. Your employees, especially those that show the greatest loyalty to you and your company, deserve to be called out. Do something for them. Anything! You know, I once got a handwritten card from my CEO after some thing I did to help the company stand out. I still have that card. So, yeah.
