Max, Checo and the whole team behind Oracle Red Bull Racing created the most successful season in the Team’s history 🏆
It was a season like no other, with records snowballing. But there was one goal the team had never achieved before in the 19 years of competition: a One-Two finish in the drivers’ standings. Only one other team has completed this before.
“I am very proud to secure the Team’s first one-two in the Drivers’ Championship tonight, it’s a massive piece of history for us,” said Checo after the race In Las Vegas 🤝

Good and important insights here. Formula 1 has reached a pivot point. With the relatively recent resurgance in interest, F1 is again becoming mainstream rather than niche.
I say resurgance because a globally popular F1 is not a new phenomena. There were times when races were sold out, drivers were on the front pages of newspapers rather than in the back ten, consumer brands were cutting a swathe though the sport and there were even massively popular races in the US!
Liberty Media has worked really hard and smart in creating this resurgance and F1 has acquired a big new audience. But what do we know about them?
The established F1 audience is a well studied, segmented, surveyed and known to the very experienced marketeers in the sport. But this new audience?
If they think, believe, and behave the same way as the established audience, probably doing more of the same will suffice to continue growth. If that new audience do not think, believe and behave the same as the established fan base then the sport has to reflect, ask the new fan base what they want from the sport and adapt.
We touched on this is our >= More than Equal research report. And we found that the new fan base are a delightfully surprising bunch! Smart, social media savvy, demanding and very ambitious for what they think the sport should be.
How the sport responds to this will mark the future for decades to come.
