In defence of the non-linear career path ! Many people get defensive about having a non- linear career path.. e.g Few years in XX role and then moved to YY role and subsequently to a different ZZ role. Yes , having a steady linear career growth in a chosen domain does build one's expertise. But having a non-linear career graph ..across roles has its own rewards.  (1) The chance to unlearn things/habits/ assumptions you may have picked up in one role (2) The thinking process of having seen various how things are done / implemented or perceived with a different hat (3) Sheer diversity in experience of interacting/ known people with different backgrounds over time

Why do so much ad-hoc work pops-in? I am sure you plan your day but end up doing tasks that were not planned and at the end of the day you feel non-productive. Plan your day, prioritise your task, bla bla bla there are many things that people will say. In my experience, I did face this but I am now currently using one simple way to make my day more productive- by marrying my tasks to sales. Things become streamlined if you follow the reverse method - Do things that make your sales and sales team more progressive. Rest all are secondary. Dream Big, Do Small! BUT DO IT, warna sochte rhte hai and karte kuch nahi hai 😎

Most company “voice and tone guides” are a waste of space. Mostly because they are made via analysis, capturing parts or aspect of a personality, but not a personality itself.  Voice and tone by analysis looks like a list of adjectives.
