When my partner and I moved in together at the height of the pandemic, the issue of who's turn it was to get up and make coffee in the morning became a daily topic of conversation. I'll admit that there were days when it was my turn and I would have done just about anything to avoid getting out of bed. That got me thinking about the value of daily household activities - what if there were some way to compensate members of a household for small favors. This also being the height of the web3 craze, I immediately thought of the blockchain as a solution. What if each household could maintain a distributed ledger of such transactions in the form of a new, localized cryptocurrency. Thus, homecoin was born. I abandoned the project a few years ago but recently rediscovered it while cleaning up my Github and decided to bring it to completion. Introducing the world's first fully browser-based peer-to-peer network that is localized to your household:

Note: I'm well aware that the concept of a blockchain with 3-4 nodes is ridiculous. This was just a fun project and a great learning experience!
