Are We All Becoming Content Odyssey Navigators? 💭 As someone constantly surrounded by the latest AI technologies for my research, I've noticed a common trend in online content: the use of specific terms like "navigating," "realm," "Odyssey," and "embark. These terms can be found everywhere, from LinkedIn to various blog posts. It made me think, and then it made me research. When I dug a little deeper and ran that content through AI content detectors, I learned that a significant portion of it was AI-generated. So, it got me thinking. Are we just embracing the latest trends and popular terminology, or are we gradually giving up on our content creation to generative AI? And if so, what implications might this have on the personal style and uniqueness of content creators and authors? There is no doubt that AI, especially generative AI has brought unimaginable advancements into content creation. It is faster, it is more efficient. But, there is a concern that we, as a society are on the verge of creating of "AI style of writing", where the lines between human-created and AI-generated content are indistinct. All of us should be mindful of this phenomenon, and should be mindful of this path content creation is taking. We should strive to keep our style, and creativity in our work. Yes, AI can and should be a powerful tool, it should boost our capabilities, but it certainly should not replace them. Someone asked me: "What's the point of a writer in the age of AI content?" A better question might be: "What's the point of content?" The point of content is to generate leads, right? No. The point of content is to create a connection. With an audience? No. With a specific person. One specific buyer, prospect, individual whom you have created a cozy space for in your mind's eye. (You've strung up twinkle lights; you've fluffed the throw pillows on the couch. Just for them.) That one person you think of when you sit down at your computer: fingers flexed, claws hovering over keyboard. "Dear Valued Customer..." you begin. Then you DELETE DELETE DELETE. "Hi, you," you write instead. "It's me." Who you are. How you create a relevant connection with one person at a time is the key to content marketing success in the age of AI. (Whispered aside: It always has been... but it's never been more true now in a world where "CREATE MOAR CONTENT 20X FASTER!" is the promise of countless generative AI companies.) Can AI help us be more efficient? Absolutely. But also remember this: 👉 Your From line matters more than your subject line. 👈
