📢 In January 2022, Q-Park took over the management of the Paris La Défense car parks for an 8-year delegation, with a €36M investment program for the overall renovation of its car parks. 🚔🚘   🚶♂️Q-Park wanted to homogenize vehicular and pedestrian traffic while continuing to ensure the safety of users. Rising energy costs in 2022 have impacted a large number of businesses, including car park managers. This situation, coupled with regulatory requirements, has encouraged the renovation of the lighting in the Paris La Défense car parks.    Sylvania was able to provide the right solution to meet the customer's constraints.    💡By proposing to replace fluorescent tubes with Resisto MW Corridor waterproof luminaires, it was possible to propose a solution with a presence sensor while maintaining a minimum illumination of 10% when no movement is detected. This solution did not require any rewiring and made it possible to combine energy savings and safety for users to the greatest satisfaction of the customer.    ☑️More than 11000 RESISTO MW corridor waterproof luminaires have been installed in the vehicle corridors. ☑️More than 400 luminaires in the adjoining areas:          ✔️ START Surface IP 66 portholes near elevators        ✔️ START Waterproof Tubular at the entrances and exits of the car park        ✔️ START Flex tapes in motorcycle parking areas and some pedestrian traffic    📉 After a few months of use, the customer is already noticing a significant drop in their electricity consumption.    Would you like to know more about this installation?  👉 https://lnkd.in/dvYjpU7d   #sylvania #energysaving #efficiency #safety

📰 The MegaBITS project and strategic managers, Ronald Jorna and Wim Dijkstra, were recently interviewed for an article published in the Dutch magazine Stadszaken.nl. During the interview, they had the opportunity to discuss the successful implementations of Bicycle Intelligent Transport System infrastructure during the BITS project, the predecessor to MegaBITS.   🚦Ronald highlighted one of the successful implementations, in Gemeente Hengelo, Netherlands, where the local authorities introduced smart cameras that spot passing cyclist at an early stage. These cameras have proven to be highly effective because, as soon as three or more cyclists are detected, the traffic signal immediately turn green. Not only accelerating the journey for cyclists but also reducing pollution from cars, as this reduces the need for frequent stops and starts.
