This year the theme is “ensuring every child’s right to thrive”. The Day not only aims at raising awareness about the challenges faced by babies after birth but also focuses on providing knowledge and resources to parents. Keeping these objectives in mind, as a #𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭, I would like to emphasise, for the benefit of parents, the important role #𝐅𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 #𝐄𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 plays in ensuring every child’s right to thrive. -𝐅𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐡𝐨, which is done between 18 to 24 weeks of pregnancy is a window into the heart of your #𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝.  -𝐈𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 in evaluating the size, position, #𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, proper functioning and rhythm of an unborn child’s heart.  -𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 is equipped to present a clear picture of an unborn child’s developing #𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬, #𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬, #𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐬 and heart pumping strength.  -𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚 problem is detected, the #𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 can work on corrective procedures and is also better prepared to take care of the challenges that would come up at the time of the #𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 and immediately post-birth of the child. Management of #𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐬 would also depend on the #𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 which get detected, depending upon the severity.

Sharing a very interesting case of a couple with wife aged 29 years came to me 1.5 year back with 4 year of infertility,1 tube removed for ectopic and AMH of 0.6.On ultrasound 3-5 follicles only were visible.When I counselled her about poor ovarian reserve,they told they want to go with donor eggs.But looking at her,a milky complexion female with shiny face, I told her " its so difficult to go for donor in your case,how shall I get one."So after repeated counselling she got ready for self.1st cycle 2 embryo(Grade 1 blasts) formed,transferred,positive but misfortunately it was missed abortion.2nd cycle stimulation done,3 grade 1 blasts formed,transferred 2 embryo and it was positive.She came few days back with her 2 babies who delivered at 30 weeks and now grown so beautifully.
