Collecting emails makes sense. Shopify is a decent platform. I imagine actual margins are low per item. And grabbing emails can help you market to an existing customer base.

There's definitely a lot of advice out there, and it can be confusing. Focusing on people with proven experience sounds smart. Especially for someone new to Shopify, this is a helpful reminder to find the right resources.
