Compared to the soaring interest in #AI, the mainstream adoption of #Web3 for enterprises has felt slower, if not sluggish. Though they’ve seemingly been around for a while, blockchain technologies continue struggling to gain traction among businesses, not least due to their interfaces not being particularly user-friendly. With this in mind, last year, EY held an extremely interesting event series for senior executives focused on the possible intersection of AI and Web3, an off-shoot of the long-standing Innovation Realized summits. During these expert-led meet-ups, participants explored whether or not the two emerging technologies could be uniquely qualified to benefit each other and overcome potential adoption hurdles in tandem. The idea is simple: where Web3 could help drive trust and confidence for AI, AI could ease accessing, navigating, and using blockchain environments for business purposes. These considerations aren’t only valuable for their possible impact on future use cases for either technology, but also for how industry sectors such as financial services approach innovation efforts as a whole — not as siloed initiatives, but as holistic, transformative strategies.
