One of the projects I'm responsible for at Jobful is making the product accessible for people with disabilities (research, strategy, and advising), and I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to work on this project to understand this. When I did my research, I realized that only a tiny percentage of online websites and platforms are accessible to people with disabilities, and this is really sad. Most teams are scared of the thick official documentation (https://www.w3.org/), but it's not about the technical part; it's about understanding how these people interact with interfaces. There are some patterns; if your entire team understands these things, it's straightforward. If you have an online website/platform, you need to think about people with disabilities and try to understand how they will use your platform, at least for the critical flows. If you have any questions or need an audit/advising for your website/platform, drop me a message. #w3c #disabilities #disability #hr #startup

Co CEO at IJDK Women’s Wellbeing - Dedicated to providing inclusion, equity and diversity education for the workplace - Hormone Health & Neurodiversity Advocate - Holistic Mindset Consultant & Counsellor CPD Provider
Did you know that dyslexia affects women differently, especially when considering hormonal influences? Understanding the intersection of dyslexia and hormones is crucial for creating inclusive workplaces and providing adequate support for dyslexic women. 1️⃣ Unique Challenges: Dyslexic women face unique challenges, including difficulties with reading, writing, and processing information. Hormonal fluctuations can further impact cognitive function, exacerbating these challenges and affecting job performance. 2️⃣ Inclusion and Diversity: Inclusion means recognising and valuing the diverse experiences and perspectives of all employees, including those with dyslexia. By fostering an inclusive workplace culture, organisations can harness the strengths of dyslexic individuals and promote innovation and creativity. 3️⃣ Accommodations and Support: Providing accommodations and support for dyslexic employees is essential for ensuring equal opportunities and access to resources. This can include assistive technologies, flexible work arrangements, and training programs tailored to individual needs. 4️⃣ Educating Organisations: Educating organizations about dyslexia and its impact on women is critical for promoting awareness and understanding. By raising awareness of dyslexia-related challenges and the role of hormones, organisations can implement effective policies and practices to support dyslexic employees. 5️⃣ Driving Change: Organisations have the power to drive positive change by prioritising diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. By creating supportive environments and providing resources for dyslexic women, organisations can empower individuals to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the workforce. It's time for organisations to take action and prioritize inclusion and support for dyslexic women. By educating ourselves and our colleagues, we can create more equitable and inclusive workplaces for all. Let's work together to make a difference! 💼 ❕If you would like to know more about how IJDK can help support women in your company please reach out via messaging, email us at support@ijustdontknow.org or complete this simple form and a member of the team will come back to you 🤍 https://lnkd.in/dtVXKUvb 💪 #DyslexiaAwareness #Inclusion #DiversityandInclusion #WorkplaceSupport #Empowerment #HR #ProfessionalDevelopment
