A great engineer, friend, and pair programmer!
👋 Hello everyone, As some may already know, I am currently navigating a career change into the tech industry, I’m actively seeking new opportunities. The current job market can be brutal, but I remain determined to transition into a role where I can utilize my skills as a Back-End Software Engineer. With proficiency in Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL Databases, API Exposure/Consumption, OOP/SRP/MVC/REST, Git Control, TDD/Minitest/RSpec/FactoryBot, SQL/ActiveRecord Queries, and more, I’m pursuing roles such as Software Engineer, Back-End Developer, Sales Engineer and QA Engineer. I’d greatly appreciate your support in my job search journey: ➡️ Repost this post and share it with your network. ➡️ Mention my name if someone you know is looking for contract or temporary support.. ➡️ If my skillset aligns, refer me to a role in your company. For more context, I recently completed a Certificate in Back-End Web Development from Turing School of Software, where I completed 18 solo, paired, and group projects, ensuring high-quality results with a testing coverage above 96%. Additionally, my background in financial sales equipped me with strong problem-solving and communication skills, which I’ve successfully applied in software development contexts. Thank you in advance for your help! And if there’s any way I can support you in your endeavors, please let me know! #jobseeker #jobseeking #SoftwareEngineer #TechIndustry #SalesEngineer

Hey everyone! I really enjoyed this episode of The Engineering Room, and I wanted to share. One of the ideas I enjoyed the most is the thought that Great Software is very often not solving a particular problem in house but giving a customer a TOOL to solve their own problems, and that the software needs to communicate it's capacity to the user through its use so they can find the pieces that are most valuable to them. https://lnkd.in/gftVyMDt

Last week, I had the chance to give my first in-person technical lightning talk at the Scripted Philadelphia meetup. ⚡ It was great sharing what I learned about using civic data and background jobs in Rails while working on my most recent project RentInform, and meeting Ruby, Python, and JS developers from around the Philly metro. Big thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to speak, and to my Turing School of Software & Design teammates Logan Cole, Grace Joh, and Stephen McPhee for tackling the challenges of RentInform with curiosity and persistence!
