31 years ago today Craig came home from work and told me that he wanted to start his own business. The timing was a bit precarious as we had a 9 year old and a 2 week old baby. We sat and talked about it that night for hours and we decided to go for it. We started Beringer Technology Group from the basement of our townhouse at the time with 4 blank credit cards in case we needed funding (😂🤞) and the vision that Great Work Leads to More Work. I worked for Prophet 21 and Oracle for years while Craig started and then began growing the business. In 2014 we decided to go all in and I left my career at Oracle to join the firm with the goal of helping to grow so that we could start planning for our eventual exit. We had so many ups and downs over the years - Y2K, 9/11, the financial crisis in 07/08, and so many others. But we kept pushing forward…finding the very best group of employees in the industry, staying true to the original mission of providing exceptional service and extreme value to our clients. We surrounded ourselves with an amazing group of peers at The IT Nation Evolve and we dug in, building value in our business. When the time came we started looking at our options for exit and it was instantly clear that Evergreen was what we were looking for. A permanent home for our business where we would continue to operate independently while being able to offer even more opportunity to our amazing team and to our customers. In April 2020 we became Evergreen’s 16th acquisition. Today they have made over 80 and they remain true to their original guiding principles. Four years later we are 100% certain that we found the perfect partner for our business. In July 2023 we both retired from Beringer. We had an empowered leadership team and after an exhaustive search found Katrina Barnes to take the company to the next level. As I sit here tonight in the Bahamas on my sailboat I could not be more grateful for the incredible journey we have had and all the adventures yet to come. I now facilitate for IT Nation Evolve and consult with Evergreen on a company wide initiative. Craig spends most of his time captaining our sailboat Liberty and managing our real estate. I am so proud of the company we built and look forward to following their journey over the next 31 years. Happy 31st anniversary Beringer Technology Group!! #btgrocks #legacy

Let's go, Lisa and Craig! It is fun to read your story and to be reminded that no one's journey is without hiccups and challenges but our response to choose to move forward is perhaps the most defining characteristic. Thanks for the encouragement through your story and for being an incredible facilitator, friend and leader to so many of us! We are thankful for you.

Amazing and congratulations! Similar but different paths to mine with my 40 year IT Services business and now on my boat completing the Great Loop in 2024. We did not make the Bahamas this year but maybe next?

Congratulations, Lisa Beringer and Craig Beringer. I remember the days in Pennsauken while I was at DBS competing with you guys. You had achieved what you wanted when you started the company—retirement on a boat in the Bahamas is not bad! Enjoy!
