Dive into our most recent "It’s time to rethink private equity due diligence” thought leadership report by @Jay Scanlan, @Rachel Barton, @Martin T. Glenn, @Neto Alexander, and @Himanshu Patney, exclusively premiered at the Berlin SuperReturn event. Read on to explore three approaches to turn the traditional due diligence process into a more dynamic, value-driven approach.
These last three weeks have been a whirlwind of knowledge and inspiration. I joined two exceptional events: PEI Operating Partners Forum in London and SuperReturn in Berlin, where I had the honor of leading two insightful panel discussions alongside esteemed private equity leaders. I am also thrilled to share with you our latest thought leadership, It’s time to rethink private equity due diligence, by Jay Scanlan, Martin T. (Marty) Glenn, Neto Alexander, Himanshu Patney and myself. It was exclusively premiered at the Berlin event. Two things that really struck me as we developed this report are that operational levers are increasingly being prioritised and talent is key to create sustained value. I would also like to express my gratitude to fantastic panellists James Zenni, Michael Bruun, Victor Orlovski and Hazem Ben-Gacem - it was truly a pleasure to moderate the discussion. Thanks also to my amazing colleagues Bleuzenn Pech de Pluvinel, Jennifer Fountain, Alex M. Dahlke, Felix Hessel, Neto Alexander, Martin T. (Marty) Glenn, Jesper Strømann and Palle Koch for representing #Accenture and of course the fantastic event organizers. Until we meet again, let's stay connected and keep pushing the boundaries of excellence in private equity. #PrivateEquity #SuperReturn #ValueCreation #PEI https://lnkd.in/eEZcYyn9

Another successful chapter begins at Bain & Company.

I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Christophe for many years, and I know he will lead Bain into the next chapters of its global success story. Christophe has delivered tremendous value for our clients and has served in various firm leadership positions over the years, including managing partner of our Brussels office, EMEA Private Equity and Financial Investors practice leader, and as a member of our Board of Directors. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Bright-Dix Award, an annual internal recognition given to those who exhibit excellence in developing people. 🌍 As the global leader for the Government & Public Services practice at PwC, I continuously look at how we can better serve our clients and continually drive value. One of my key reflections as I carefully listen to our public sector clients across the globe is that many of them face very similar challenges (eg climate, aging populations, digitalisation etc). As a global organisation we are in a unique position to draw on our international networks to share insights and best practices from around the world to help deliver outcomes and inspire new solutions. That is why 18 months ago, we launched our first global #pwc NextGen Leadership Academy focusing on bringing together over 140 Government & Public Sector practitioners from around the world to collaborate and innovate. The objective of the programme was for leaders to gain new insights from around the world and build a truly global community of solvers to better serve our clients. As the programme comes to a close, I am immensely proud of what we achieved. 🚀 We ran immersive problem solving sessions with our Public Sector clients in Europe looking at a wide range of issues such as sustainability, social care, defence and transport. We learned about the hopes and fears of Gen Z and how we can better work together as future leaders. We built a stronger global community, learned about the latest trends and best practices, won new projects together, shared expertise and developed thought leadership on key issues in the public sector including AI, workforce and many more. 💡 It would be impossible to summarise the whole programme in one post but here’s a video that brightened my day and which will give you a glimpse on what we've been up to during our final meeting in Dubai → Our experts visited the Museum of the Future and Dubai EXPO City, to explore the forefront of groundbreaking tech and innovation. Below 👇 are their reflections from the visit. If like me you are always looking out for new ideas on how to solve important problems and would like to find out more about our work with the Government and Public Sector do get in touch! I'd love to start the conversation. Aga Sala, Rachel Taylor, Richard Goldstein, Rami Nazer, Prof. Dr. Rainer Bernnat, Emmanuel Koenig, Tristan Hockley, Ranen Banerjee, Tarek Emara, Steve Kershaw, Roger Mortensen, Yvonne Welsh, Geir Årset, Emma Golder, Geir Are Nyeng, Alexandru Gozun, Szabolcs Mezei, Sangeetha Raghuram, Wassim Mukaddam, Flavia Iannetta, PMP, CMC, Lucy Gardiner, André Keller, Mayank Vir Saxena

🌆 Dallas Consulting Trek: A Remarkable Experience! 🌆 Last week, I had the unparalleled privilege of joining an enlightening Consulting Trek courtesy of the McCombs School of Business. Our stops? The thought leaders of the consulting universe - McKinsey, Bain, BCG, EY-Parthenon, and PwC Strategy&. Some unforgettable highlights: ✦ Insightful Interactions: Our journey through the consulting firms was marked by a series of profound conversations that left an indelible mark. We were fortunate to engage with a spectrum of professionals - from seasoned partners who've seen the industry evolve over decades, to recent associates committed to deliver client value. ✦ Seasoned Partners: Their wisdom provided a panoramic view of the consulting landscape. Their anecdotes from pivotal projects and turning points in their careers gave us a sense of the grit, perseverance, and strategic thinking required at the helm. It was humbling to see the genuine care that they have for their clients, people, and the offices they lead. ✦ Dallas Charm: While the consulting behemoths were our primary focus, Dallas itself emerged as a silent protagonist in our narrative. This city, with its iconic skyline and southern hospitality, played host in the most gracious manner. Hustling between the firm visits, the bustling streets, architectural marvels, and historic landmarks of Dallas provided a visual and cultural treat. The juxtaposition of modern skyscrapers the omnidirectional mesmerizing views narrated a story of a city that is soaring into the future. Collectively, these interactions presented a comprehensive picture of the consulting world’s rigors, the intrinsic and extrinsic rewards, and the evolutionary trends shaping its future. 🙏 Heartfelt thanks to all the practitioners who shared their wisdom and journeys. Each conversation, story, and advice was a beacon of inspiration. I also express my gratitude to the McCombs School of Business for cultivating relationships with these firms and providing us with such a transformative experience. To my fellow attendees, thank you for making this a memorable event. Even though the Trek has ended, the journey has only just begun, and the possibilities are endless. 🌟 #McCombs #ConsultingTrek #Dallas #FutureConsultants #eyparthenon #mckinsey #bainandcompany #bcg #pwc

When facing an economic storm, what’s your favorite compass? 1. Hope for the best; there isn’t much we can do anyway. 2. See it when we get there; why worry about tomorrow. 3. What crisis? (Ignorance is bliss) 4. Breathe life into the organization; vital organizations are far more apt to make it through a storm. If you're leaning towards revitalization, let's have a one-on-one chat about steering your ship through the waves.
Chief Empowerment Officer @ CROSS-SILO ✦ RoundMap®: Impact-First Framework for Future-Fit Organizations ✦ Polymath ∇ Forum
Reflecting on the early days of my career, McKinsey's "In Search of Excellence" wasn't just a book; it became a guiding force. Back then, I didn't fully grasp the significance of the operational insights from the best-run companies, but over time and with a deeper understanding of business cycles, the revelations within that book became profoundly clear. As we stand on the brink of a pivotal moment, especially within the K-wave cycle, I can't help but underscore the importance of being prepared, even if the predictability of business cycles remains somewhat elusive. In 2012, I committed myself to giving back and embarked on a journey to create something impactful, aimed at helping businesses weather inevitable downturns. Over the past 11 years, my dedication has led me to unravel the intricacies of business dynamics, culminating in what could be one of the most comprehensive frameworks. While assisting Fortune 500 companies on transformative journeys has been rewarding, the real impact lies in expanding our community. We need more practitioners worldwide to prepare organizations for the challenges ahead. If you share our passion for revitalizing organizations and driving sustainable growth, I invite you to be part of our mission. Don't hesitate to reach out – together, we can make a lasting difference.
