The only thing this press release doesn't mention is that former EDNY AUSA Andrey Spektor represented the company in this resolution. Since Andrey never brags about the work he does, I'll have to brag for him--an amazing result, a first ever declination from the NSD. This is a good example of the DOJ following through on its promise of leniency for companies that self-disclose and show extraordinary cooperation.
Deputy Chief Counsel for Corporate Enforcement | National Security Division | United States Department of Justice
This morning, the DOJ announced the first ever corporate declination under the National Security Division’s revised voluntary self-disclosure program. As the Deputy Attorney General said, “[b]ecause of MilliporeSigma’s timely disclosure and exceptional cooperation, a rogue company insider and his accomplice pled guilty… and the company will not be prosecuted.” https://lnkd.in/eM8qin2Z #DOJ #NSD #CES #corporateenforcement #VSD #Export #exportcontrols

2moLindsay Gerdes you are one 100% spot on - not surprising in both respects - an amazing (and unprecedented result) by Andrey and the absence of self-promotion (a/k/a bragging). Way to go Andrey Spektor!!!
