Over the next week, look out for creative ways that companies and organisations are encouraging everyone to vote in the European elections on 6-9 June. From offering free rides to the polling station, sending notifications with election reminders, or adapting logos to represent a ballot - there are many ways to get involved. Join us in these efforts! Some examples of actions taken by companies include: • Spotify is sending notifications to all users who are eligible voters and have launched a playlist featuring tracks from local artists in each Member State. • In the campaign #AllHandsForDemocracy, Universal Music Group proposes to put a stamp on people’s hands when attending concerts so they do not forget to go vote. • Under the theme “Options Exist. The Choice is Yours” The Coca-Cola Company is encouraging its networks across Europe to not miss the opportunity to have a say in Europe’s future. • With the message “VOAT! for the planet”, Oatly is encouraging customers to vote in the upcoming EU election. • Apple is helping raise awareness by featuring a story about elections in the App Store in the EU. • Lime and TIER Mobility-Dott will be offering free rides on election day because they believe transportation should not be a barrier to people casting their vote. • Flix are raising awareness in their social media with an adaptation of their logo and providing free rides to polling stations in some countries. • 4 Lufthansa Group aircrafts are flying across the European continent with a clear statement: "Yes to Europe" to encourage citizens to vote in June.
