The data-centric machine learning paradigm was once the norm, but with the emergence of Chat GPT and other very Large Language Models, it seems that paradigm is slowly diminishing. As it turns out, less data can achieve more and the larger the model, the more fault tolerant it is to inconsistent data. #MachineLearning #AI

AI needs context. It's like fast food: Convenient, but not conscious. Here is a peculiar example from a talk on trust in technology and AI. AI models lacking context (also a matter of training) get it so wrong. That's an issue if we trust them enough to rely on. This case features Helsinki cathedral. Specifically, it deals with an automatic image captioning algorithm gone south... Now that ever more advanced LLMs (large language models) are emerging, issues like these may become subtler – but that also means errors may be harder to spot. #trust #ai #keynotespeaker #eventprofs
