Fairs season is in full swing and Proekspert AS just came back from embedded world Exhibition&Conference.
These types of events can be challenging and rewarding at the same time. There are a lot of details to think of, project management on full scale, but most importantly, it is a team effort.
Big thanks to everyone involved, especially Elis Desiree.
Below are some of the notes I wrote down. Maybe useful in case you are also planning to attend a fair with your booth:
• choose the right fair, there are so many, where is your target audience? Friendly suggestion, book the hotel too, it will get crowded in nearby hotels
• be consistent! For Proekspert this was the 3rd year in a row at the same location, so people already recognized us
• design the booth based on the location, how people move, where should the electricity be, how many chairs if at all..etc
• main messages - what do say and sell? Don't be too vague ex IT-solutions, don't say everything or it will get too messy
• who will make the booth? Do you order some roll-up walls or is it a custom design?
• what materials and handouts are you giving, should they be translated or is English enough?
• the devil is in the details, you can never have too many extension cords as a backup
• regular team briefings. Sales and marketing teams need to be aligned
• social media - who says what and when, be prepared beforehand
• follow-up, what went well and what should we improve
• and we are back in the beginning - book a spot 😊
