As many of you know, I became a board member of Raphael House SF this past year. Many of you don't know that I found myself homeless as a teenager, an experience that impacted me on so many levels. An experience I want to help ensure no other child has to endure. I realize that everyone has opinions on the homeless crisis, but I think the one thing that we can all agree on is that the streets are no place for our children or our youth. Raphael House's mission is to keep families together and safe when facing or experiencing homelessness; without organizations like Raphael House, families would have to separate to be in other shelters or remain on the streets. A terrifying ordeal for everyone involved, but especially for the kids. Now the ask.... Raphael House SF is facing the possibility of closure. While the go-forward plan is solid, we must bridge an immediate gap. Any size donation would be greatly appreciated. The link is listed below. I am also reposting the official campaign for anyone interested in learning more about this wonderful organization that I am so proud to be a part of. https://lnkd.in/gcAR2D2N Call to Action! Our shelter and vital family services are at risk. Join us in securing a brighter future for homeless families. Every contribution counts. Since our founding, Raphael House has provided over 20,000 individuals with personalized family-centered solutions to build brighter, independent futures. On average, 90% of the families we serve in our Residential Shelter achieve stable housing, and 93% maintain that stability long-term through our Bridge Program. This past year, we served: - 338 children with direct services through our Residential Shelter and Bridge programs - 58 families in our Bridge case management services - 12,372 meals to families in our shelter Without increased funding, we are at risk of closing, leaving families experiencing homelessness without the support they’ve been providing for over 52 years. \Learn more on how to help by visiting raphaelhouse.org/sos #RaphaelHouseSF #SaveOurShelter #CommunitySupport

The Prime Legacy of Global Powerhouse | Dan Murphy's | Gregory Anderson—The Empowering Influence of Empathy and Kindness in Corporate Social Responsibility: Inspiring Global Change for the Homeless In a world where profit margins are often prioritized over compassion, an individual has emerged as a beacon of hope for the homeless population through an universal commitment to kindness and empathy. Dan Murphy, a visionary leader in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), has not only successfully raised funds to support the homeless but has also initiated a global movement of goodwill and social transformation. The intersection of CSR, ethical leadership, and societal impact has never been more crucial than in today's increasingly interconnected world. Murphy's actions serve as a poignant reminder of the transformative power that businesses possess in shaping a more equitable and inclusive society. By extending a helping hand to those in need, he has not only alleviated the suffering of the homeless but has also sparked a ripple effect of generosity and compassion that transcends borders and cultures. At the core of Dan Murphy's endeavors lies a deep-seated belief in the ethical foundation of CSR – a belief that businesses have a moral obligation to make positive contributions to society and uplift those who are marginalized and vulnerable. Through his strategic framework for ethical leadership, a new standard for corporate philanthropy has been established by Dan Murphy, one that prioritizes empathy, kindness, and authentic human connection above all else. As we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, Dan Murphy's example serves as a guiding light for both businesses and individuals. His actions remind us that true leadership is not solely measured by profits but by the impact we have on the lives of others and the legacy of compassion we leave behind. In an era characterized by uncertainty and division, let us draw inspiration from Dan Murphy's remarkable journey and commit ourselves to creating a world where kindness and empathy are paramount. Together, we can forge a future where every individual – regardless of their circumstances – is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Let’s unite and embark on a collective journey towards a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world – a world where the homeless are not forgotten but embraced with open hearts and outstretched hands. Together, a difference can be made. Together, a brighter future for all can be created. Join in the movement for change. Together, the world can be transformed, one act of kindness at a time.

Visionary, Community Violence Intervention Consultant, Grant Writer, Positive Behavior Support Consultant, Subject Matter Expert for the Institute for Intergovernmental Research, Gang Interventionist, Founder
Approximately 1 in 28 children in the United States has a parent incarcerated(jail or prison), heightening the risk of perpetuating this intergenerational cycle. Consequently, the involvement of community members and organizations dedicated to supporting teenagers and families is crucial. Numerous community-based organizations are actively addressing this issue. Consider aligning your support with one that resonates with your values by contributing through donations or volunteering. While I passionately endorse my organization, there are numerous others making a significant impact. If you are involved in initiatives aiding families or teenagers in our community, kindly share your organization's information and mission below to facilitate awareness and support. Collaboratively, we can make strides toward positively impacting the lives of children and families in our community. #intervention #prevention #arkansas

Our Big Give #ChristmasChallenge23 starts this time next week. 🥳 Thinking about donating to Family Fund? Please wait until midday Tuesday 28 November when, for just seven days, all donations will be doubled. That’s one donation, TWICE the impact on families raising a disabled or seriously ill child ✌ Ninety-five per cent of parents tell us they want more information and support than they can currently access. With your help, we can offer families a friendly helping hand to gain vital digital skills, understand the financial support that’s available to them and enable them to maximise their income. We can also provide information and support on children’s education and mental health and wellbeing. These are families whose budgets are stretched to breaking by higher costs due to their child’s essential needs, who have to make complex decisions around their child’s care and who are time poor due to extensive caring responsibilities. Your help is needed more than ever. Learn more about making twice the impact this giving season 👉 https://lnkd.in/eGAnUVgU

Better Decisions Counseling needs donations for its new transitional house. It does not have to be money. It can be furniture, especially bedroom and living room furniture, dishes, bathroom items, or whatever extra you have lying around your house. Even clothing or shoes. Bring the donations to the office of Better Decisions Counseling located at 10366 Rockingham Drive, Sacramento, CA 95827. You can also call (916)368-0700 if you know someone who needs help from Better Decisions Counseling with counseling. The house will be a 12-bed transitional house for individuals or couples getting a second chance at life and a helping hand back into normal society. People who were once homeless addicts especially those who were justice-involved, could use your help as mentors. #donate #volunteer #love #helpingothers #homelesspeople #helpthehomeless #help #support #givebacktothecommunity #housing #HopeAndHealing #mentalhealth #homelessoutreach #socialjustice #homelessawareness #street #homelessshelter #hunger
