They are responsible for operating and overseeing the assigned Community Living (CL) morning shifts in cooperation with the CL Directors and partner with other programs to ensure the people we support are getting the best comprehensive services. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses the science of behavior to promote meaningful and positive change in the lives of people. Life Unlimited's ABA team consists of four Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), two Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) and one ABA Specialist who work closely with individuals and their caregivers to help them overcome challenges and behaviors that may be preventing them from living life to the fullest. How do we know we provide quality care and services at Life Unlimited? Our training department created an innovative program that focuses on providing person-centered support to maximize autonomy, choice, self-expression, and self-direction. In July 2023, the Missouri Department of Mental Health launched new initiatives to promote quality of services throughout our state, setting specific benchmarks for various completion levels that Life Unlimited has not only met but exceeded, putting employees on a plan to achieve the highest level within 12 months of their hire date. This new initiative, combined with our training program, has led to a significant reduction in employee turnover, from 63.9% in 2019 to 28% in 2023! And when surveyed, 93.6% of the individuals we serve believe Life Unlimited team members "have the skills to care for my needs." This training equips LU team members to deliver exceptional care, making a positive impact on those we serve. We are proud of their dedication and commitment that shine through in the quality of service they provide.
