AI Generative fill is making its way into Adobe's video products like Premiere and AfterEffects. I have a hard time seeing how pure Generative AI apps are going to compete with this. There are millions of Adobe users already who are very good at their jobs and this is going to save them a lot of rotoscoping and tedious labor. That should be the point of AI, not trying to replace humans, but replace tasks that really a computer should be doing. Let's enable more creativity.

Always read the fine print! Adobe is reversing their decision after facing significant backlash over their updated Terms and Conditions, which initially claimed ownership of anything created with their tools. It seems their motivation might have been to enhance their AI capabilities using users' work. TY Adobe. Does anybody know if there an option to opt into a commercial license in the event that the collaboration between artist and AI make a valid discovery? -------- 6. Commercial Use In general, you may use outputs from generative AI features commercially. However, if Adobe designates in the product or elsewhere that a beta version of a generative AI feature cannot be used commercially, then the generated outputs from that beta feature are for personal use only and cannot be used commercially.

Being an early adopter of multimodal #generativeAI, I’m so thrilled to see Adobe announced a slew of new AI capabilities coming to #PremierePro. ✅Particularly the promise of integrating 3rd party like tools Pika, Runway and OpenAI. (Please make sure Kaiber has an integration!) ✅And of course it will be super interesting to see #Firefly Video, their new proprietary AI model. The move “legitimizes” generative artificial intelligence as a tool in our creative arsenal. And I’m sure Apple FCP and others will follow suit. Its something that us genX production peeps have anticipated. And we’re a nimble crew that has adapted our workflows from the old school analog days to our file-based digital present. We saw the birth and wide adoption of NLE’s- from the early Avid days before Premeire even existed. Finally, the biggest thing I’ve learned over the last year while creating my short #aifilms, is that it takes many humans to create a compelling narrative, along with craft and skill to wield the tools to serve it. 👊I hope the chasm between those who embrace and those who resist narrows-and we all come together. As creatives, it’s more important than ever to communicate our value, especially when marketing machines bang on the drum of “automagic” solutions that are mathematically magic, but not literally automatically so.
