✨“When girls support each other, there’s no limit to what we can achieve”✨ Today, we’re launching a long-awaited partnership with The Shona Project ⚡ The Shona Project educates, empowers and inspires Irish girls to become tomorrow's strong, resilient and confident young women – the type of women that we get to work with in IMAGE. For nearly 50 years, we’ve built a community of Ireland’s most highly respected and influential women, and now, in partnership with The Shona Project, we’re looking to the future and to how to support the young women coming our way. The fact is, it’s not easy being a young woman in Ireland today. The Shona Project have uncovered that…  -Only 20% of teenage girls feel as though they will have the same opportunities as boys -77% of teen girls in Ireland don’t ‘feel beautiful’ -Almost 60% agree that they have worries or anxieties that nobody knows about -84% think negative thoughts about the world around them -90% have negative thoughts about themselves The Shona Project is a movement for change, in which women can all play a part in creating positive futures for the next generation. Over the course of our partnership, we’ll be supporting The Shona Project’s incredible work, and meeting the extraordinary young women steering Ireland's future. ✨

We all have a stake in ensuring sport is inclusive and socially just. We are all impacted, be it directly or indirectly, by structures, systems, and cultures that engender inequality. And as such, we are all equally bound to engage in collective action to ensure that sport is a space where all can be physically active, and where opportunities to be successful are not based on how we look … but on competencies and skill sets. 🦋Today marks a moment of reflection for me, serving both as the Chair of AWTE (Association of Women Travel Executives) for the past 20 months and as a board director for a whole decade. 🦋It's been an integral part of my daily life, a journey filled with content creation, networking, and advocating for the association and being a positive disruptor. 🦋Alongside countless remarkable women, over those 10 years, whose wisdom and support have indelibly shaped my personal and professional growth. 🦋As per our tradition, every two years, the entire AWTE board, including the Chair, must step down and undergo nomination and election by our members. This process injects fresh energy, fosters innovation, and ensures the future of our core values, enriching the membership experience. 🦋Today, we gather for our AGM, embarking once again on this transformative journey. 🦋The past two years have presented formidable challenges, particularly as every role within AWTE is voluntary. 🦋Amidst an enormous event and conference season in 2023 and undertaking an expanded role overseeing Europe with Holiday Extras, I experienced burnout for the first time. 🦋This experience brought forth both physical and psychological hurdles which led to a period of recovery and recharge. 🦋This was the epitome of, 'You cannot be all things to all people,' compelling me to prioritise self-care and embody the principles I advocate for. 🦋I extend my heartfelt best wishes to the new board as you embark on this new chapter. 🦋I urge you to harness a culture of mutual support and understanding, recognising that struggles may not always be visible from the outside. 🦋Always check in on each other. 🦋Embrace courageous conversations surrounding gender, equality, allyship, and advocacy, and never shy away from catalysing positive change. 🦋Here's to the AWTE board of 2024 and beyond, may your journey be defined by resilience, camaraderie, and unwavering commitment to a shared mission

As the COO of Next League and Founder of Next League's Women's Group, Becki has embraced her role as a champion for women in the #sportsindustry.
