Do you know how Festival & Event attendees interact with your on site activations? More importantly, if you do know, how do you know? We've been working on a number of Festival & Event activations recently here in Australia where event & production managers want not just a better understanding of their patrons consumer behaviour but more importantly, a substantiated one. Now while our Australian events are still rolling out, here's a small look at some work we did recently on behalf of Google Pixel activations at several Live Nation North American Festivals. 3 x Meshh, a Limelight Platform Sensors were deployed to understand how time of day and ancillary programming (artist meet & greets / performances) impacted activation engagement and dwell times. The Live Nation Entertainment sponsorship team was able to provide performance analysis data on their partnership, helping Google's internal activation team understand the conversion of passerby traffic as well as the impact of scheduling on the flow of traffic at various experiential assets. www.meshh.com

Primarily, Sports event contracts occur in a variety of forms, each intended to handle specific features of the event. First, the Venue rental agreements which specify terms for using facilities, covering rental payments, and providing other services. Second, the Sponsorship contracts on which it define the relationship between organizers and sponsors, including rights, obligations, and financial arrangements. Third, the Athlete participation agreements that describe the parameters of athlete involvement, including salary, accommodations, and event-specific criteria. Fourth, the Ticketing agreements which govern ticket sales and distribution, including pricing, revenue sharing, and exclusivity. Fifth, the Broadcasting and media rights contracts that explain the permits granted to broadcasters, including licensing costs and exclusivity terms. Lastly, the Insurance policies cover unanticipated events and specify the types of coverage and claims procedures. It is important to note that when selecting the right contract, review the event type and scale, legal compliance, financial implications, risk reduction via contractual clauses and insurance, negotiation flexibility, and seeking expert guidance to ensure full protection for all parties involved.

The future of marketing is in building spaces. These can be virtual spaces. These can be temporary physical spaces (in-person events). These can be permanent physical spaces. The one thing they all have in common is this: It's no longer about flashing an ad in front of people and hoping it catches their attention. It's about bringing customers and potential customers together in a space where they can connect with each other.

Really great insights provided by the El Paso Chamber. The lack of investments in the infrastructure and long-overdue upgrades of #EPSportsEntertainmentVenues is glaring. Hopefully this factual-based data will help to educate more about the need to pursue & approve funding now. Let's take the personal feelings, egos, and biases out of it and focus on the facts here. We have neglected these venues & it has impacted our ability to attract #entertainment, while also impacting our ability to generate revenue (we're talking millions lost). "This comprehensive analysis reveals that #ElPaso is significantly underfunded compared to similar markets, ranking 33rd out of 35 in investments since 1990." As a proud 3rd generation El Pasoan I've heard for years, "Why don't we have more entertainment options?" and "Why do the big #concerts not stop here (even though we know they're driving through on I10)?". We have the opportunity to speak with leaders from The City of El Paso Texas and El Paso County and collectively push for changes to be made. Our city deserves better, and changes are needed.
