January 20 marked four years since the first announcement of COVID-19 in the US. Early in the pandemic, our collaboration with a civic-minded commercial tech company was instrumental in responding to the unfolding crisis. This partnership helped city health officials, scientists, and journalists attain reliable, privacy-protected data to inform critical logistics decisions and healthcare policies. Later, our focus expanded to the Health+ Long COVID cycle. In partnership with the US Department of Health and Human Services, we applied a human-centered approach to understand and address the challenges Long COVID clinicians, caretakers, and patients struggle with in their daily lives. From Coforma’s initial data visualization improvements to our ongoing work solving health challenges for the Long COVID community, we’ve been honored to meaningfully contribute to the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
