Legal Innovators California brings together private practice and in-house professionals actively shaping the legal innovation landscape or avid users of available solutions, attracting key decision-makers from both sectors alongside leading legal tech disruptors. This year, we introduce a new program section: the Start-Up Gallery. This initiative provides early-stage startups with a platform to delve into the legal industry and foster innovation. Currently, our Start-Up Gallery features LawDroid - Generative AI Legal Technology and Abstract. LawDroid, an intelligent automation company with a mission to promote Justice Everywhere, enables firms to engage and capture new clients through interactive chatbots, while providing data-driven insights and document automation. Additionally, it offers scalable tools for legal services and natural language processing for immediate client support. Based in San Francisco, California, Abstract is a VC-backed applied AI-tech startup operating in the Gov & Legal sectors. It serves as a project management and intelligence platform for understanding the impact of government policies on business and communities, as well as a tool to improve those policies. Abstract leverages AI models and proprietary data processing tech to uncover risks and opportunities posed by current and changing government policy for an organization's products, assets, investments, labor force, manufacturing, and more! Secure your seat at our Start-Up Gallery and witness new legal innovation firsthand this June! https://lnkd.in/eMqvvptS Richard Tromans | Artificial Lawyer | Relativity | Tangible Global | FOSSA | ClearyX | Incorporight Inc. | LegalOn Technologies | SkillBurst Interactive | Jus Mundi | Steno | DWF | LawDroid - Generative AI Legal Technology | Abstract #legalinnovatorscalifornia #LegalInnovation #LegalTech #LawTechConference #LegalDisruption #LegalTechSolutions #sanfransicoevents #legalevents #legalinnovators #LegalInsights #TechInLaw

Embracing AI in legal processes is revolutionizing efficiency. With the ability to automate 23% of lawyers' tasks, AI expedites contract reviews, saving 20%-90% of the time without compromising accuracy. However, we’re not at the point where artificial intelligence is the sole decision-maker regarding matters or contracts. Instead, it’s shaping up to be a tool to help inform strategies and facilitate better legal work. Harnessing AI, tasks like drafting, reviewing documents, and handling administrative work, once time-consuming, are now completed in minutes. This shift, facilitated by legal tech and AI, democratizes access to legal services and information, making them more affordable. This directly aligns with the core goal of many legal tech solutions—closing the access to justice gap. Today, Colin Levy, Director of Legal and Evangelist at Malbek, joins the MarTech podcast to discuss legal tech and artificial intelligence. We explore topics like: - The transformative role of legal tech on the industry - Privacy concerns in legal tech and the impact on the legal industry - Integration of legal tech and martech for seamless data flow - The role of AI in legal sector decision-making - Evaluating legal tech platforms - The impact of legal tech and AI on legal billing and accessibility Click the link in the comments below to learn more about how AI and legal tech are reshaping what it means to be a lawyer and do legal work. #legaltech #legalai #legalbilling #martech #legalindustry

AI Visionary | Head of Data Analytics and AI at BearingPoint Ireland. Delivering real business value to our clients by harnessing the transformative power of data and AI.
The #Legal industry have been adopters of #AI technologies for some time now as market followers, but now seem to be market leaders when it comes to #GenerativeAI. There does seem to be a three-tiered adoption pyramid though, which may also apply to other industries: - General applications such as Microsoft 365 #Copilot and other internal Assistants, - Industry specific applications, such as document management and e-discovery in legal, - Bespoke developed products that help you better engage with customers and deliver business value. The legal industry may proceed with caution, but they will continue to proceed! Great article Joanna!
https://lnkd.in/e93H_ph6 Generation tech - my cover feature for this week's Law Society Gazette is, unsurprisingly, about #generativeai adoption - this is the first of two big features about my favourite topic! But this isn't just about the latest offerings from #lawfirms and #legaltech suppliers and the growing presence of #genAI in everyday #tech like Microsoft's Copilot - it also highlights strategic and legal/regulatory dilemmas: the importance of making strategic choices, given the pace of change in the AI space, and the fact that right now, #AI is not regulated under UK law, notwithstanding the EU AI Act. Thanks as ever for your thoughtful insights, Chris Tart-Roberts, Michael Kennedy, John Craske - and AI lawyer Matt Hervey, for taking the time to meet me and explain important #legal considerations. Also thanks to Beth Anne Stuebe, Jobst Elster, Amber van Moessner and others for useful meetings and demos at #Legalweek24 (more about that in my next tech column!) This is the first of two big features - so look out for the second instalment!
