A few takeaways from yesterday’s DEI Leadership Summit at Berkeley College. First off, a huge thank you to Eve Cortes, CPC, ELI-MP for facilitating an amazing day. 💜 ✨Facilitate Inclusive Meetings Rather than setting out rules for a meeting, set an agreement at the beginning. Agreements are collaborative and lend space for conversation and resolution. Ask yourself: How do we want to contribute and work together? ✨Throw Glitter, Not Shade Use language to uplift each other, even when we disagree, like saying "Yes, and" instead of "No, but." ✨In Every Chair A Leader We are all leaders in our own way and we are here together for a reason. We are all important and we all have something to contribute.

Recognising that great leaders are inclusive leaders, over 150 colleagues recently participated in our first regional Inclusive Leadership Training with support and inspiration from LEAD Network Europe and under the guidance of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion advocates Jacobijn Boerrigter and Matthew Jipps.
