Every artwork tells a story, but its true tale begins when it finds its destined owner. 🎨✨ 'Blessed in the City,' a cityscape triptych, found its home in a moment of profound serendipity and divine connection. A renowned gospel singer and art collector from Detroit was drawn to it, tears filling her eyes as she saw her destiny reflected in the painting. This moment, where art meets its owner, is what every artist dreams of. It's a beautiful testament to the transformative power of collecting art. When someone connects with our art, truly taking it all in, it becomes a catalyst, an answer, a confirmation, a solace, or a healing force. This moment marks the artwork’s completion. The journey of an artwork is a journey of purpose. It might sit in a corner, overlooked for months, or be passed around from wall to wall. It may even embark on an extensive journey and get painted over or revised. But eventually, it finds its home and fulfills the purpose for which it was created.💫 Have you ever experienced a profound connection with a piece of art? How has collecting art touched your life or transformed your space? Getting inspired can be a step by step process ✨ 🎨 While working on the Writer’s Desk Podcast Art, The process for creating the illustration was very clear - read the text and you will find the inspiration. 2BR02B by Kurt Vonnegut was one such story. The inspiration came from an instance where the characters in the story compare the utopian society they live in with a painting of a perfect garden with trees and plants in line. But the story reveals the dark side of a society obsessed with order. To depict the idea of a dark utopia and their obsession with order, I took inspiration from the garden described in the story with blood splashes as the background. I kept the foreground as silhouettes of the hosts discussing the story. Sometimes inspiration comes while walking outside or doing the dishes but it can also come from a simple and clear process. It doesn’t always have to be random which I used to believe before. What process do you follow while working on an illustration project? Let me know in the comments #illustration #illustratorforhire #podcastcoverart #podcastart
