The last day of the Ecochallenge event is here and it feels like the Earth Month has gone by in a flash 🚅. Key takeaways for me are the habits I built, the knowledge I gained and of course the actions I managed to accomplish together with the #Emerson Cluj team (🌳 & 🌊). Many thanks to Emerson & Ecochallenge.org for giving me the opportunity to participate in this year's event. Coming across an article yesterday again, about the aggravating water crisis, especially harming West Africa, hitting of course again the weakest, especially our children, our World's future!  I just cannot believe, nor by any means understand, what we human beings are capable of and doing in general, to OUR children, our future of mankind.  I blame, I accuse us people not wanting to change our perspective on recognising and understanding, on doing and how operating things, just holding on to the acquired and gathered and the comfortable and well know.  After greed comes the fall and WE (rich or poor) will all fall, if we do not stop NOW! so close we are.... With SHINE, our young startup we tackle the water crisis and deliver disruptive sanitation solutions, not using any drop of water for toilets inside of any kind of building and recycling all grey-water to be reused and turned again into drinking water quality to reduce the waste of water. The World bank released an article end of last year showing that 2030, 1 out of 4 people will have no water in the world. Do you know, that while flushing your toilet, you waste 5-8 litres of sweet water, which would be the water needed for 2-4 people/ per day! Every year you waste min. 13'000L of sweet water only for flushing your toilet. Please multiply it by the world's population ..... 91'530'000'000'000L of Water / year to flush our toilets!  91'5 trillionLitres of Sweet-water per year would be the equivalent of 5'000 years of drinking water for the current world population (2L per day)! Working together for a greener future. 🌳♻️ It was a day full of insights, when more than 30 representatives of the Green Tech Valley Cluster and the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV Styria and Carinthia) visited AT&S, shared presentations, took line tours through the production facilities and engaged in extensive networking. With 300 companies, the representatives of Green Tech Valley form the #1 hotspot for climate and circular solutions as well as green technology in the southern part of Austria. In a lively exchange about a greener future, Markus Simbürger, Project Manager of Green Tech Valley, held a presentation about "Green Utopia" emphasizing: "Our Green Utopia helps us to visualize and discuss the future ahead of us. If we know what the goal is, we can achieve it faster." Theresa Gruber, Senior Specialist Corporate ESG at AT&S, also took advantage of the exchange with the "climate pioneers": "As Green Tech Valley is investing in the expansion of sustainable technologies in the field of renewable energy and the circular economy, there are many overlaps for an exchange of experiences and best practice sharing," she said.
