Fascinating read - Chief Justice Roberts 2023 Year-End Report on the Federal Judiciary - in which he focuses on AI and how AI will change both the Courts (and the lawyers who argue in them - not to mention the "justice" that will be doled out. One quote stands out: "As 2023 draws to a close with breathless predictions about the future of Artificial Intelligence, some may wonder whether judges are about to become obsolete. I am sure we are not - but equally confident that technological changes will continue to transform our work." He then lays out a history of technological change at the The Supreme Court of the United States. #Judiciaries, #prosecution services and other judicial bodies around the world are looking into how AI can be used in their systems. Yesterday, I finished a course on #AI and #ruleoflaw, which was created by #unesco and The Future Society, with the support of Cetic.br|NIC.br, the National Judicial College, and #ieee. The course was very enlightening and covered the potential of AI in Judiciary system, how to adopt #responsibleai to reduce the risks, and the regional differences in using AI for justice. The course also presented real cases of how AI plays a significant role in justice. I recommend this course to anyone who is curious about AI and justice https://lnkd.in/dmqS5zxw
