Intervening in the climate is as scary as anything. But not talking about it doesn't mean it will never happen. At the ICFG, we aim to help policymakers with what they need to know to make better decisions.
With the prospect of warming well above 2°C, there is growing interest in climate intervention technologies (such as solar radiation management) in climate circles - interest that reflects a growing sense of desperation and urgency. Earlier this year, ICFG Practice Lead Cynthia Scharf set out to understand what EU policymakers know, don't know, and want to know when it comes to these technological interventions in the climate.
