AI is a contentious topic for marketers right now. It's become very controversial, and that's why I'm excited to be one of the speakers at the upcoming event, "AI Ethics: Friend or Foe of the Marketeers?" The event, organised by Bournemouth University and CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, will take place on May 8th, 2024, at Bournemouth University. I'll be sharing the stage with Luke Williams and Matt Desmier as we delve into the complexities of AI and its impact on marketing. →What is your position on AI in marketing? Personally, I believe that generative AI is unlike any technology that has come before. It has tremendous potential to revolutionise the way we approach marketing, but it also comes with significant risks, such as data privacy and security concerns, algorithmic bias and fairness issues, and the need for transparency and accountability in AI-driven decision-making.
