As I take the time to reflect on the first semester of my senior year, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities I have experienced. I want to share a few highlights with you all!
I've had the privilege of being chosen as the team leader for my senior design project, working on an innovative project to develop an improved retractor for mastectomies. This experience has been a profound learning opportunity, allowing me to grow both as a leader and an engineer.
Serving as the Region III Chairperson for the National Society of Black Engineers, I've been grateful to help steer our region through a successful fall semester. We've hosted two impactful conferences focused on nurturing our chapter leaders and fostering the overall development of our members. It's been a truly rewarding experience to contribute to the growth and success of others in this capacity.
Academically, I'm proud to have made the Dean's List this fall. It's a fulfilling acknowledgment of the effort and dedication invested in my studies.
Additionally, officially becoming a part of the founding charter class for the Tennessee - Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity has been a unique honor. It's a responsibility I cherish, helping to lay the foundation for a chapter that will guide and nurture future medical professionals at The University of Tennessee.
Reflecting on this semester, I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the myriad of experiences that have contributed to my personal and professional growth. As I approach graduation, I am filled with enthusiasm for the future opportunities that await, and I am eager to embrace new challenges.
