As fintechs have grown and become increasingly important players in the financial ecosystem, the demand for a diverse, well-rounded set of board members has increased. In March 2023, we examined the top 75 fintech companies across Europe, the United States, and Australia and New Zealand. These companies are made up of both public and private ownership. A total of 593 fintech board members were examined for this analysis.

Why we're not entering awards this year:   1. We appreciate the trust our customers put in us and we enjoy helping their businesses to grow. We want you to know we’re investing our time into making our products and services even better rather than writing really great award submissions. 2. We love being part of the fintech world. Like us, we think our competitors are doing a great job in creating a vibrant ecosystem. Sure, we sometimes come up against them in competitive bids and when we do, we often win, but there is room in our market for more than one business to succeed. For us, the most important judges are our customers, so for now at least, we've decided to channel our energy into impressing those voters.   3. Okay, so we might be sore losers as well!   That’s not to say we’re never going to re-enter the world of industry awards, so watch this space. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for both companies in the retail investment space, positioning them as leaders in the Netherlands for clients looking to build their wealth. Following the announcement of the deal in December 2023, ABN AMRO has now finalized the acquisition of BUX after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
