Operations | Project | Energy | Petrophysicist | Environment Engineer (Actively Looking for Prospects) Onshore/Offshore/Renewables
Here are some key points and future projects regarding US to Europe oil and gas pipelines: 1. Southern Gas Corridor (SGC): This project aims to transport natural gas from the Caspian Sea region to Europe, bypassing Russia. It includes the construction of the South Caucasus Pipeline, the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). TAP connects to Italy via Greece and Albania, providing European markets with Caspian gas. 2. LNG Terminals and Infrastructure: There has been a push to increase liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the US to Europe. Several terminals have been proposed or are under construction along the US Gulf Coast to facilitate LNG shipments to Europe. These terminals serve as key infrastructure for transatlantic gas trade. 3. Environmental Concerns: Pipeline projects face scrutiny over environmental impacts, especially regarding greenhouse gas emissions and potential oil spills. Environmental groups and some European countries have raised concerns about the ecological impact of new pipeline construction and fossil fuel dependency. 4. Geopolitical Factors: US-Europe pipeline projects are influenced by geopolitical dynamics, energy security, and trade agreements. The geopolitical landscape can shape the feasibility and prioritization of such projects. Overall, while there are plans and discussions for US to Europe oil and gas pipelines, the landscape is complex and subject to various factors such as economic viability, environmental considerations, and geopolitical dynamics.

Speaking at the LNG Shipping & Terminals conference in London in November 2023, Howe Robinson Partners head of LNG Debbie Turner explains why there are so few #FSRUs on the orderbook. As the world moves towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources, the demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been steadily rising. With its ability to reduce emissions and provide a reliable source of fuel, LNG is becoming increasingly popular among both governments and businesses. This growing demand has led to an increase in the number of LNG carriers being built, with 2020 seeing a record-breaking 45 new orders placed. However, there is one type of LNG carrier that remains relatively scarce – Floating Storage Regasification Units or FSRUs. #LNGShipping2024 #RivieraMaritimeMedia #LNGcarrier #FLNG #FSRU #LNGterminals #BioLNG #lngshipping #vessel #emissionsreduction #greentransition #shippingindustry #marinefuels #maritimeindustry #fuelefficiency #finance
What is the future potential for FSRU development?

🇦🇷 🛠 Argentina’s TGS awaiting three design options for LNG plant Any final investment decision would likely require approval in congress of the government’s LNG promotion bill – presented earlier this year – signals of macroeconomic stability and iron-clad gas supply guarantees. Given Argentina will choose a new president in October and that approval of the bill is unlikely before then, the green light could be at least a year away. #LNG #TGS #FEED #FLNG

QatarEnergy Strikes Record $6 Billion Deal for World's Largest LNG Vessels with China's CSSC Shipping Arabia, April 29, 2024 — In a historic move for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, QatarEnergy has inked a monumental $6 billion agreement with China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) to construct 18 of the largest LNG vessels ever built. The signing ceremony, held in Beijing, underscores QatarEnergy's extensive LNG fleet expansion initiative. These state-of-the-art vessels, each boasting a capacity of 271,000 cubic meters, will be built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard, a subsidiary fully owned by CSSC. The ships are set to incorporate groundbreaking technological advances and superior environmental performance standards. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, along with Mr. Chen Jianliang, Chairman of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co.
