I love the sincere and dynamic optimism of this interview. Joe and Elie seem to have genuine chemistry, and the OSN Anghami merger is, without doubt, a potential game-changer for the industry: Of course there are many ways this could all go sideways, but the market potential of directly linking 120m users (every Arab I know has Anghami) with the region's best known subscription TV brand is ....... well it's mouthwatering. Starting with a freemium ad-supported OSN+ product of course (the newly IPO'd MBC team must be watching very, very closely). One important point - I'm relieved they aren't making the WBD "Max" mistake. I had been wracking my brains about how you could combine these two unique and strong brands and ecosystems. It just can't be done (yet). #OSNghami are doing the smart thing - and keeping them both :-)

$AGBA~ TRILLER MERGER update..... AGBA/Triller $4bn Merger: Excellent Progress Ahead of Plan The AGBA/Triller merger was approved on April 16, 2024, by written consent of stockholders holding over 63% of Triller's voting common stock. Triller also reported that on May 6, 2024, it withdrew the S-1 registration statement it had on file with the SEC for its prior proposed direct listing. Triller now fully focuses on pooling its resources and attention towards completing the proposed merger with AGBA within a short timetable. AGBA is making excellent progress in preparing its proxy statement regarding the proposed merger. AGBA expects to file its preliminary proxy statement with the SEC in early June 2024.
