Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health’s Post

A partnership between Manheim Township Public Library and our Ann B. Barshinger Institute is giving cancer survivors, families, caregivers, and supporters access to a special collection of books designed to offer knowledge, humor, comfort, and strength. Yesterday members of our cancer survivorship committee--who along with patients, selected the books--joined library staff to unveil the collection to the community. "It (cancer) can be a lonely and long journey,” said Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health wellness physician and mother of a cancer survivor, Jennie Barbieri. “Information to help answer the many questions parents and children have and hearing others share how they got through it can be a tremendous help.” Learn more in this Fox 43 coverage: http://spr.ly/6045gvO8f

Great event. Once I get my book published, I hope to add it to this collection.
