Our cognitive function enhances with physical movement - essential for leaders - to put things in perspective, think critically, make decisions in a VUCA world, where a daily mindfulness and exercise routine is essential. Here I show the Tibetan Rites - the 5 exercises that helps build core strength, balance and alignment of the Chakras. For the first timers - be mindful and careful (have someone nearby when doing the twirling) - start with 3 reps each and build up to 21 reps over a period of 7 weeks and continue on 2-3 times a week for maintenance. This is not about longevity, as life is uncertain - but to stay fit, in tune and be in a state of 'flow' with mental clarity to meet our daily challenges. https://lnkd.in/eyP9RU4V #exercise #mindfulness #breath #balance #flow #leadership #fitness #wellness #wellbeing

Bliss, Presence and Inner Alchemy - A Master Class In Tibetan Tantra Feel more vitality, joy and bliss. The workshop will introduce a practice that is traditional in the secret Tibetan Tantra teachings. Once learnt this practice will help you to use your breath and body to feel this sense of vitality and use it as an anchor for being aware of bliss. This bliss and pleasure in your body then becomes the support to your meditation practice. Tantra embraces sexual energy and sees the pleasure we feel in our genitals as a support for spiritual practice rather than something to reject. As a gay man who grew up with so much shame around sex and my body I am finding this a really powerful re-education of my nervous system and a releasing of trauma carried in my body as a result of shame and trying to hide my sexual identity as a teen. Directly Knowing The Present Moment: Rather than trying to focus on the breath as a cold object Tantra teaches how to be drawn to the pleasure of the present moment sensation of the breath as it flows in and out. As attention starts to rest in this flow and enjoys the sensations arising in the present moment there is no longer a division between what you seek and the seeker, but instead a direct Knowing of the present moment with clear awareness. The practices taught in this introduction to Tibetan Tantra will allow you to experience this yourself and will be preparation for a longer 3 day workshop to be run later in the year. To Join: https://lnkd.in/eb3XjfFn The benefits of this style of meditation are threefold: Physical - our body becomes resilient and we heal quickly. Our life becomes more easeful. Emotional Integration: we start to develop a deeper friendliness and kindliness in our inner landscape. As we integrate emotions, even the ones that feel destructive, we find that they are there to provide wisdom for us. Our mind becomes calmer - there is more space between our awareness and our thoughts so we become less overwhelmed by our mind chattering and our attention becomes more focused. When a Shaolin kungfu master wanted to develop internal force, he had to practice qigong exercises separately. When he wanted to cultivate spiritually, he had to practice meditation exercise separately. When our students practice a Wudang Shaolin Kungfu set, nowadays usually called a Taijiquan set, they will acquire combat efficiency, internal force and spiritual joys at the same time. There is no need to practice kungfu, qigong and meditation separately. On the other hand, Taijiquan is a wonderful internal martial art, but there is nothing internal and there is nothing martial in the Taijiquan practiced by more than 90% of practitioners today all over the world. #health #vitality #longevity #mentalclarity #internalforce #peakperformance #spiritualjoys #tao #taijiquan #wudangkungfu #zhangsanfeng #hofattnam #grandmasterwongkiewkit #sifuwong #sifuangel #shaolinwahnam #shaolinwahnaminstitutepuertorico #starseeds

How do we create communities to which all of us can belong? Read Dekila Chungyalpa's answer to this question in "At the Center of All Things is Interdependence"—a Center for Humans and Nature essay. "In Tibetan Buddhism, we are taught to balance meditation on mindfulness with meditation on interdependence so we always remember that the purpose of meditation is to learn to develop compassion for all sentient beings. And, as it happens, when we allow our mind to rest in non-duality and when we dissolve the barrier between self and 'the other,' we find compassion not only for 'the other' but also for ourselves. Our happiness is the by-product." https://lnkd.in/d5bNG7dY #SpiritualEcology

THE PLACE OF SILENCE AND SOLITUDE IN HUMAN RELATIONS Just as in sadhana, in human relations also, one must be able to enjoy some inner solitude. It is there one must first discover and feel a sense of wholeness, because that will prepare one for having a meaningful relation with the other. As has been said by many, a fulfilling relationship also needs space in between.
