🌸 May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 🌸 In a world where it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's essential to remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. And for children and families, nurturing mental well-being lays the foundation for a happier, healthier future. 💡 Why focus on children and families? Children's mental health is vital for their overall development. It impacts how they think, feel, and behave in daily life. By nurturing their mental well-being from a young age, we can help them navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence. Families play a crucial role in supporting each other's mental health. When families prioritize open communication, empathy, and understanding, they create a safe space where everyone feels valued and heard. 🤝 How can we support children and families' mental health? Open Dialogue: Encourage conversations about emotions and feelings within your family. Let children know that it's okay to talk about what's on their minds. Active Listening: Take the time to truly listen to each other without judgment. Sometimes, all someone needs is a listening ear. Practice Self-Care Together: Teach children the importance of self-care by practicing it together as a family. Whether it's going for a nature walk or simply spending quality time together, prioritize activities that promote well-being. Seek Help When Needed: If you or a family member is struggling, don't hesitate to seek professional support. There's no shame in reaching out for help, and it can make a world of difference. 🌟 Let's make this May a time for raising awareness, fostering understanding, and prioritizing mental health for children and families. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels supported, valued, and empowered. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #ChildrensMentalHealth #FamilyWellbeing #BreakTheStigma

This week widely recognised as Emotional Health Week, at Tender Caregivers, we join various towns, schools, and organisations across the country to support individuals who have emotional difficulties and to raise awareness of mental health struggles and promote emotional resilience throughout the population. Every year, there are a variety of seminars, events, and activities held during Emotional Health Week that aim to teach people about self care, self-love, how to manage stress, and where to ask for assistance when you need it. These events are meant to break barriers and lessen the stigma associated with mental health and promote open communication about thoughts and emotions. We aim to support these courses by providing a secure environment where individuals can speak, express their feelings and signposted to services to help them. As a community and as a group, we can build compassion and understanding for mental health problems, whether via social gatherings, online resources, or educational efforts. A wealth of resources are available at everydayhealth.com to help people with tips for boosting emotional health and become emotionally resilient - 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWrtyq-X. It’s Mental Health Awareness Week in New Zealand. Now is more important than ever to create a safe space to look after your own mental health, along with your family and friends. There are many pressures facing us today - from the cost of living to climate change, it’s paramount to make sure we’re checking in on the people around us. In the NZ 2021 census, the data showed a significant increase in the proportion of people with poor mental wellbeing, up from 22% in 2018 to 28% in 2021. We have a chance to change these statistics- This week presents an invaluable opportunity to spark change and destigmatise mental health. Here's how you can make a difference: - Have open conversations and offer support - create a safe space - Share resources online with those in your networks - Engage with your local community - Especially elderly people - Take care of yourself first - Set an example! If you would like to share more resources for Mental Health Week here in NZ, please visit: https://lnkd.in/g2uxctyE #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #CAANZ #DifferenceMakers

Our organization recognizes that mental health issues are not just individual challenges but also social and community challenges that require a holistic approach. We believe that by addressing these challenges at the community level, we can create a more supportive and inclusive environment for everyone. 1. We organize community events, workshops, and seminars to raise awareness about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding it 💻 2. We collaborate with schools, colleges, and other community organizations to promote mental health education and support ✨️ . We work closely with educators, parents, and students to create a supportive environment for young people to talk about their mental health and seek help when needed 😇 3. We also provide direct support to individuals in need. Our organization offers counseling services, support groups, and online resources to help people cope with mental health issues and build resilience. 😎 4. We also provide information and referrals to other mental health services in the community. Overall, our goal is to create a community where mental health is a priority, and everyone feels supported and empowered to seek help when needed. By addressing social challenges at the community level, we can create lasting change and improve the overall well-being of our society. #Mentalhealth #Selfcare #EndTheStigma #Mindfulness #Resilience #WorkplaceWellness

World Mental Health Day is observed annually on October 10th. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting mental well-being worldwide. The day provides an opportunity to mobilize efforts and resources to support individuals who may be struggling with mental health problems and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illnesses. World Mental Health Day encourages open conversations about mental health, encourages people to seek help when needed, and promotes understanding and empathy towards those dealing with mental health challenges. Various organizations, communities, and individuals around the world use this day to organize events, workshops, and campaigns aimed at promoting mental health awareness and providing support to individuals facing mental health issues. The theme for World Mental Health Day may change each year, focusing on different aspects of mental health, such as specific disorders, youth mental health, workplace well-being, or the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health. Regardless of the theme, the overarching goal is to prioritize mental health as an essential component of overall health and well-being. https://lnkd.in/gRphmcMG #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthDay #MentalHealth #independent #qualityoflife #companionship #eldercare #elderly #seniorsmatter #caregiving #caregivers #seniorcare #aging #aginginplace #fallprevention #seniorhealth

On behalf of a mental health awareness NGO (Ashhwika Foundation) founder, entrepreneur, and mother, it's crucial to recognize the significance of World Mental Health Day. In today's fast-paced world, mental health awareness is paramount. This day serves as a global platform to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and advocate for support and understanding. Mental health challenges affect people of all ages, from children battling school-related stress to parents coping with the strains of balancing work and family life. For young people, the pressure to excel academically and socially can lead to anxiety and depression. Adults, especially parents, often face the stress of providing for their families while maintaining a work-life balance. Seniors, too, experience mental health issues, often exacerbated by feelings of loneliness and isolation. Awareness is the first step toward fostering a supportive environment. Communities, schools, and workplaces must promote mental well-being openly. As a founder, entrepreneur, and mother, I emphasize the importance of empathy, active listening, and providing resources. We must encourage open conversations, implement mental health programs in schools and workplaces, and support accessible therapy services. By understanding and addressing mental health needs across generations, we pave the way for a healthier, happier society. Together, let’s nurture understanding, compassion, and resilience in the face of mental health challenges. Neha Kirpal Ladies Who Lead #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth #NGO

Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week, but supporting your team should be an all-year-round endeavour. Our team has a wonderful but challenging job of helping children learn and grow, so their mental well-being is paramount! Here are a few ways that Partou Nursery Managers support mental health in our nurseries: 💠 Weekly Mental Health Check-Ins: Managers check in with each team member to ensure they get emotional support and feel heard. 💠Providing safe spaces: Giving team members a chance to speak openly about their stresses and work complaints without fear of reprisals. 💠Encouraging movement: Working with small children is going to get you moving, but we also run calming yoga and stretches for little ones, giving moments of calm for our team, too! 💠Using tech: We offer all team members the Health Assured Wisdom app, providing them access to counselling 24/7. We are reviewing even more ways to support our team and would love to hear from you. How would you like to be supported by your managers day to day? #Mentalhealth #Support #Safespaces #Wellbeing #Childcare

Join us from February 5th to 11th, 2024 for Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week! This year, our focus is on empowering every child and giving them a voice. We believe that every child's voice matters, no matter who they are or where they come from. Empowering children and young people has a positive impact on their health and wellbeing. When children feel heard and valued, they have higher levels of self-confidence and self-esteem. They also feel more connected to their community, and empowered individuals can work together to create positive changes. According to new data from YouGov, many 8-16-year-olds hesitate to seek mental health support. Early intervention is crucial. Place2Be offers tips on starting conversations about mental health with your child: - Ask about their day. - Find out the best part of their day. - Discuss any stresses or worries they may have. - Talk about their online experiences. - Ask who they would turn to if they were feeling mentally unwell. - Offer support and ask what you can do to help. For more resources and activities for families and schools, including advice from young people themselves, visit https://lnkd.in/d5BAXqB Let's work together to support children's mental health! #inspiringacultureofcare #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek2024 #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #MyVoiceMatters
