It's been 5 years since I've been at the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference on Architecture and it was awesome to catch up with some folks I haven't seen in years, or inversely, have worked with for years, but never met in person! Also met a lot of people, too many to mention, and look forward to building a lot more relationships and integrations. There is just something about meeting in person that makes a conference like this worth the time and to be honest, a bit less productivity or knocking off a couple items from the river that is my to do list. While the industry is abuzz about AI, tech, and transformation, at the core, the world of architecture is about the people. Tech of some sort may make our lives different, but it's the people that do the work, that make things happen, that come up with ideas, inspiration, and ultimately, deliver the projects.
