Another month, another Data Center! Once again, I have the great honor to share that we’ve broken ground on a new data center site — this time in Cheyenne, Wyoming — where we will build our 25th data center! All four data centers announced this year will support larger and more sophisticated AI models efficiently at scale. The Cheyenne Data Center will be our 21st Meta-owned and operated data center in the U.S., representing a $800M investment in the state. Site work is already underway, and the new facility is expected to go online in 2027. We were honored to celebrate this exciting moment with members of the community, including Wyoming’s Governor Mark Gordon, Mayor Patrick Collins, U.S. Senators John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, and other fantastic partners. Like our other data center sites, the Cheyenne Data Center will achieve LEED Gold Certification once operational and be supported by 100% renewable energy. We will work closely with Black Hills Energy to add new resources to the grid, including renewables. We are supporting water restoration and conservation projects led by local community partners including Laramie County Conservation District to help restore Crow Creek, and working with the Laramie County Conservation District, the City of Cheyenne, and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to increase storage capacity of a livestock reservoir. Big congrats to everyone working on the Cheyenne Data Center! And a big shout-out to all the teams who made this break ground happen, especially our Infra Data Center teams.
The Alfatech team is excited and ready to help get things rolling in Cheyenne! Other than the tumbleweeds I mean. 😋
Your team continues to kill it, Kevin ! It's impressive to see the scale of process efficiency in rolling out data centers one after another!
Everyone is exploding!
Can’t stop, won’t stop!!!
Congratulations, team!
