I'm truly at a loss for words to convey the immense pride I feel for our team this year. Amidst a challenging landscape where many recruiting and executive search firms faced setbacks, our team not only met but exceeded expectations. They adhered to our time-honored process, unearthing exceptional, passive candidates for our clients. This year witnessed an unprecedented number of successful candidate placements across a broader spectrum of clients, with nearly 50 new clients coming on board. While revenue growth is the cornerstone of business success, what truly astounds me is the caliber of our present team. They are a cohort dedicated to daily excellence, showing up consistently with unwavering dedication. They foster an environment of mutual encouragement and support. When someone faces a tough day, this team rallies to lift them up. And when someone secures a landmark deal (this year saw the two largest deals in our company's history!), the entire team celebrates these victories together. With a culture like this, success becomes an inevitable byproduct. Yet, what astounds me isn't just surpassing sales records, but achieving this feat with a staggering 60% fewer producing staff members pursuing this collective goal. Business revolves around people. When you assemble the right individuals united by a common purpose, and those individuals embody commitment, diligence, and a hunger for constant improvement, anything is possible.

Most companies apply to be recognized as a Best Place to Work or other similar awards. What I love about the American Opportunity Index from the Schultz Family Foundation (announced last week) is that employers can only influence it through their behavior - it’s all 3rd party data & analysis. And the other thing I love about it is seeing the companies that our teams at Guild have spent thousands of hours with - trying to create opportunity - are succeeding and being recognized for it. Their investment in education, in equity, in systems, processes, and tools for Career Mobility, and good management practices are bearing fruit.
