Consumerism quickly took over spaces as digital landscapes idealized ways that cities are only meant to serve us. Rather than being a part of physical communities, we are only using them to serve us. How can we sustain online communities locally?
There's a long history trying to spark local connection in digital spaces. From Community Memory, to internet radio stations, to Nextdoor: why is placemaking so difficult online?

Underlying it whole infrastructure was the intention to allow for colloboration, foster compassiobn and generate creativity. It was a tool to empower humanity. #Though it created more localised communities, individual empowermetn and fostered huge values. Yet, in past decade, instead of embodying these values, the web has instead played to a part in eroding them. #Raising red flag against the adverse consequences of excessive commercial approach, Tim Berners-Lee argues for fundamental changes and advocate strongly for trasform the current system. #A new papradig must emerge ,one that break data silos to encourage colloboration that nurture empathy and understanding. Through his #WebFoundation, co founded by him Rosemary Leith,, Tim promises to support and accelerate the morally courageous leadership. #In his concluding message, Tim gives a call for collective effots that is dicted by the needs of humanity.
