Today I completed 1 year at NVIDIA! After working 4+ years at Google and nearly a year at Meta, I joined NVIDIA last year (Jan 2023) to lead DGX AI software. At first many around me wondered if this was a step down from such illustrious companies in my career. Although I knew NVIDIA was in a great position with AI, I did not know how well they were positioned! The astounding success that happened through the year was an amazing experience like none other before. Today the story is different. I see many reasons why this happened. 1. NVIDIA does not lose any opportunity to say yes to the customer and does not put them through endless justifications and paperwork. 2. From Day 2 I have been busy and focused on customer deliverables - it never stopped. 3. The company is highly collaborative with a flat management style where everyone works with everyone else with no undue management interference. 4. Jensen (our CEO) is a great hands-on leader.

If you think getting a job at Google is difficult, I can promise you that voluntarily deciding to leave such a world class organization is exponentially harder. Reflecting back on my last 4 years, it has been nothing short of a storybook dream. While making the decision to pivot careers from investment banking during the heart of a pandemic wasn't the ideal starting chapter, being surrounded by inspiring colleagues and the “Googley” culture gave me an immediate sense of belonging. Once the imposter syndrome subsided, each milestone achievement afterwards reminds you of the art of the possible.  Experiencing true work/life balance that allowed me to be mentally present for the births of two of my children. Being promoted. Receiving the CloudClub invitation in the mailbox. Celebrating in the office the day we turned #GCP into a profitable line item for Alphabet shareholders. The list goes on... These are moments I will forever cherish and validation that I have left some form of lasting imprint behind. To the countless Googlers who were part of my journey, thank you for making each day special and fun!  Too many to list out individually, but you know who you are.  🙏🏽 🙏🏽  This was the toughest decision I have made in my professional life. And that is oddly reassuring, because it means that I’ve left for all the right reasons. Not because Google gave me any cause or grounds to consider a change of scenery, but instead to seize the rare opportunities that presented themselves elsewhere. Embracing change is the reality of being at the forefront of rapidly evolving, cutting-edge technology. Therefore, I am thrilled to announce I have joined NVIDIA at perhaps one of the most defining moments of technological innovation. I couldn't be more excited that the NVIDIA leadership team chose me to have a seat on the 🚀. Me talking to myself : No! No!Don't do it!❌️❌️ About three months ago, I nervously and hesitantly submitted my application to ASUS HQ for the Global Marketing Specialist role. Started with no prior experience in tech, all i felt was fear leaving my comfort zone and moved to a different city. But, today, I can't help but feel both grateful and amazed at how much I've learned and grown. And I wanted to share a few takeaways… ✨Embrace Change, Embrace Growth: It's scary to step out of comfort zone. But, it's necessary for personal and professional growth. 💪 The Power of a Supportive Team: I've been fortunate to work with an amazing team at ASUS HQ. Their support, guidance, and mentorship have been instrumental in my journey. I’ve realized that the key to success is about learning from those around you and working collaboratively. 👩💻Learning Never Stops: The tech industry is a constant learning curve. For me, every day is a school day, and I've welcomed the opportunity to expand my knowledge. From the latest gadgets to the latest AI trends, staying curious and being open to learning has been a game-changer. ✨Confidence Comes with Experience: Initially, I was hesitant to share my ideas ... However, as I gained abit more experience and learned from my mistakes, my confidence grew abit. I’ve learned to voice your thoughts and ideas. 🤝Networking is Key: Building relationships within and outside the company has been invaluable. The tech industry is filled with passionate and inspiring individuals. And LinkedIn has been a fantastic platform for connecting with industry experts, sharing insights, and learning from others' experiences. 🍾 Celebrate Small Wins: In a fast-paced environment, it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of big achievements. However, celebrating small victories along the way is essential, whether it's successfully executing a campaign or mastering a new skill, learning to acknowledge my small progress has been a game-changer for me. As I look back on these three months, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to work at ASUS HQ. The journey from feeling intimidated during the application process to constantly embracing change and learning has been incredible. Next week is my 23-year anniversary at Intel. I joined shortly after leaving a previous job when I was criticized for being too detailed oriented - a criticism which made me realize there was a mismatch between my values and my leadership at the time. Intel has been a demanding employer. They’ve asked a lot of me, but because my values have generally aligned with Intel’s, I have been fully committed to the goals formed around these guiding values. Leadership in safety, disciplined yet fast-track engineering & construction, environmental stewardship, commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace, support for work/life balance and quality orientation are just a few of the company values that have guided my work here. Problem focused and constructive debates in the sprit of discovering the right solution are part of my every day work life here. There’s no question that I have been questioning our values over the past few years as we’ve hit some serious business setbacks. However, we are slowly seeing our competition struggling to expand their operations, arguably because of a mismatch in values, which reaffirms that Intel’s values should not be discarded but should simply evolve. Championship teams don’t get the option to just win on their home courts. We have proven that we can win internationally with mature sites in Israel and Ireland. With Ohio, Germany, and Poland as our new expansion sites, I truly look forward to watch our comeback story unfold.
