2023年SDGs未来都市のひとつである島根県松江市で、2023年8月から小型船舶用の4kW電動推進機プロトタイプを用いた実証実験を開始するホンダと松江市が記者発表を行いました。この実証実験は「カーボンニュートラル観光」を目指している松江市の観光地のひとつ、国宝である松江城のお堀で運営されている観光遊覧船の船外機を電動化し、その可能性を探る実証実験となります。 Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture made a press release announcing the start of a demonstration experiment using a 4kW electric propulsion prototype for small boats in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, one of the 2023 SDG Future Cities, from August 2023. This demonstration experiment will explore the possibility of electrifying the outboard motors of sightseeing boats operated in the moat of Matsue Castle, a national treasure and one of the tourist attractions in Matsue City, which aims to become a "carbon neutral tourist destination".
