We know that not everyone has the same family support. That's why Rotaract NT’s JUMPSTART program helps disadvantaged young people obtain their driver's licenses in a safe and friendly environment. Project Jumpstart aims to address a critical gap by providing disadvantaged youth with the resources and support they need to navigate the process of obtaining a driver's license in a safe and friendly environment. With an emphasis on creating awareness of drugs and alcohol use, participants learn about the negative effects of alcohol and drugs, including vaping, through interactive workshops and educational sessions. We knew starting this program as a youth-led volunteer organization was ambitious. We may be a young organization, but we're making a big difference. Even one young person’s success makes a world of difference. Here's what we offer: 1. Driver's License Support: We provide resources and guidance to help disadvantaged youth navigate the process of obtaining a driver's license. 2. Drug and Alcohol Awareness Workshops: Interactive sessions educate participants on the negative impacts of drugs, alcohol, and vaping on driving. This initiative aimed to revolutionize Braven's approach to volunteer engagement, with the ambitious goal of impacting 40,000 students and catalyzing a $10B+ uplift in lifetime earnings. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: ✔️ Anticipated reduction in Braven staff hours for volunteer management, freeing up time for mission-centric activities. ✔️ Improved experiences for participants and stronger mentor-student networking relationships. ✔️ Salesforce volunteers crafted a comprehensive volunteer strategy, including marketing, prototype design, and Salesforce technical recommendations, saving Braven an estimated $14,000. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: ✔️ 100% of volunteers felt their skills were effectively utilized. ✔️ 60% expressed a high likelihood of future participation in skills-based volunteering. ✔️ 80% saw a positive influence on their perception of Salesforce as an employer and reported enhanced job satisfaction.
