Congratulations to Rutgers football for defeating Miami (Fla.) 31-24 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium on Thursday. Kyle Monangai rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown to earn game MVP as the Scarlet Knights secured their first winning season since 2014. “There are 600,000 living alumni from Rutgers University, and it felt like almost all of them were right here in New York this week,” said head coach Greg Schiano. “We saw more people, and our players felt more accepted and energized by our alums and fans, and for them to turn out en masse today made it feel like a home game.”
